As we are wrapping up the 2019/2020 academic year, we reflect back on everything that has happened. We started our lab experiment in Madrid and had a great turnout, but, unfortunately, we were interrupted halfway due to COVID19. We also successfully launched an online experiment targeting the parents of the children who attended the lab experiment.
In Berlin, preparations for the lab experiment are underway, and we are happy to have attained the approval from the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family to carry out a pilot of our experiment. We are looking for the best setting to carry out the experimental sessions under the current circumstance in Berlin.
We are sad to see some team members leave, but they have exciting things ahead of them! Alicia García will start a PhD at Oxford University in September and Isabel Molero is already working in the research department at the Ministry of the Presidency in Spain. We wish the best of luck to Alicia and Isabel in their new endeavours!
There are a lot of things to look forward to in September. In addition to continuing our online parental experiment, we will hopefully continue carrying out the rest of the lab experiments in Madrid, implementing the necessary safety measures. We also plan on launching our pupillometry experiment at UNED and starting the lab experiments in Berlin, so make sure to check back with us in the fall because many exciting things lie ahead.
We wish everyone a great summer!
